DALE DODGE JR

Dale's Racing History

Dale Allen Dodge Jr started his racing career in go karts near the end of the 2002 season, at age 9. With only six races left at the 1/4 mile asphalt oval in Barberton, OH, Dale won the last 3 Features in a Junior Sportsman Champ Kart.

The following year, he would take the title, World Karting Association, Ohio State Divisional Champion-2003. Racing a Jr Sportsman champ, caged go kart at 5 tracks in Ohio and Indiana.

For the 2004 season, Dale decides to expand his experience to the dirt, where he captures two more Championship titles. 339 Speedway Class Champion-2004, Barlow OH and Bald Eagle Raceway Class Champion-2004, Stockport OH. Two Championships in one year.

In 2005 Dale Jr purchased another racing kart for a different division. Now racing two karts the same night, he wraps up yet another Championship. 339 Speedway Junior Driver Track Champion-2005. Winning more features than any other driver.

The 2006 season would be another transition point, purchasing a 100cc road course kart and moving up to the jr/senior divisions. Dale would win multiple features, including indoors and set a new Track Record at Stateline Speedway-2006, Edon OH.

Dale has raced go karts in 11 different states from New York to Florida, asphalt, dirt, indoors and road course, including a win, second and third at the North Carolina State Divisional in Concord NC. His Championship resume should speak for itself.

The 2007 season would be the largest challenge Dale Jr had yet to face. Jumping behind the wheel of a 1300 pound, 130 horsepower Legend car. Competing against drivers nearly 4 times his age, with more years experience than he is old. The challenge quickly became no match for the 14 year olds capabilities. He won the first heat race he entered at Barberton Speedway.

Dale would be the youngest driver in the Northern Ohio Legends Series, racing on asphalt tracks at Midvale Speedway, Barberton Speedway and Lorain County Speedway. Finishing the season Second in Semi-Pro points and Fifth in the overall Point Standings out of 46 Master, Pro and Semi-Pro drivers. He would also take the Series Honor "Most Improved Driver 2007" Dale also raced at Kentucky Motor Speedway several times, finishing Fourth in a feature and three top tens. Lake Erie Speedway twice with both features finishing top tens.

Dale Dodge Jr's accomplishments at a young age has cought the eyes of most veteran drivers at all tracks. He has had a TV interview, been mentioned on podcast, radio, newspaper and magazine articles, autograph sessions and acquired quite a fan base.

The 2008 season started off right. Dale being the youngest regular competitor led the Northern Ohio Legends Series points untill the last two races of the season. Dispite the tough luck he encountered, he still managed to pull off the Northern Ohio Legends Series Semi-Pro Championship-2008 and finished a respectable third in the overall standings. Dale also had the opportunity to race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, finishing seventh. Bristol Motor Speedway, finishing ninth and eleventh. Lowe's Motor Speedway, finishing eighteenth.

Dale's plans for 2009 include racing the Legends car more on a National level, with hopes of getting behind the wheel of a modified, sprint or latemodel and stated he would "race anything with 4 wheels!"
